Seth Rogen and best friend Jay Baruchel find themselves in the centre of a cataclysm of biblical proportions after a high-end celebrity party at James Franco’s house is interrupted by the apocalypse. Danny McBride, Jonah Hill and Craig Robinson star alongside Rogen, Baruchel and Franco as the band of Hollywood-pals turned apocalypse survivors in this odd-ball 2013 fantasy-comedy. The film opens with Canadian actor Jay Baruchel visiting his old-friend Seth Rogen before being dragged along to a celebrity house-party at James Franco’s new house in Hollywood. When enormous fissures tear the earth apart and people begin ascending into the skies above, it becomes clear for the hedonistic Hollywood A-listers that the world as they know it is ending and that the rapture is here.
With all hell breaking loose around them and the world they once called home devolving into a hellish wasteland, Rogen and his rag-tag band of celebrity friends must dig-deep and band together for survival as they prepare to weather the end of the world itself.
