Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA-winning drama that combines dark comedy, thriller and investigative elements comes from writer and director Martin McDonagh. Starring Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, a mother loses her daughter in a violent murder, but the police department are doing nothing to bring her to justice.

Ebbing, Missouri hides racism, neglect and cruelty and none of the town members are willing to confront this – until one day three billboards accusing the police of complacency appear on an old abandoned road.

It kicks off a chain of events that sees desperation turn to violence, and the longer the case goes unsolved, the more likely for vigilante justice to become the driving force of the film. Co-produced by Film4.
