Miles Teller and Jonah Hill become David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli respectively in 2016’s based-on-reality drama-comedy, War Dogs. The film, directed by Todd Phillips, also features Ana de Armas and Bradley Cooper and tells the story of two small time arms dealers whose attempts to cash-in on the war in Afghanistan put them in contact with some very dangerous people with the duo soon finding themselves way out of their depths.
David Packouz is a therapist struggling to stay afloat financially and hence is looking for a secondary source of income. In a chance meeting with his high-school best-friend Efraim Diveroli, David is coerced into going into business with AEY – Efraim’s arms dealing company. Starting out small, the pair are drawn deeper into the world of gun-running by the allure of a number of lucrative contracts, eventually finding themselves well out of their depths and dealing with a group of mysterious and incredibly dangerous people.
