George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations

Architect George Clarke is back with a new series, as he meets more brave people taking on ambitious projects and preserving our country’s architecture by breathing new life into it. In this episode, we meet pig farmer Paul and his wife Imogen, who decided to swap the countryside for the town, snapping up a collection of rundown and abandoned buildings, including a pub, butcher’s shop, bakery and slaughterhouse in Framlingham. With ambitious plans to restore the Grade II listed building, while adding a modern glass extension, there are long delays and eye-watering costs, which all make for a very special project.
