Glass

Glass

M. Night Shyamalan directs an all-star cast in this genre-bending superhero sequel that follows on from Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). Weeks after the events of Split – when Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with 24 different personalities, imprisoned three girls in a lair beneath Philadelphia Zoo – Kevin remains at large. He’s up to his old tricks again, and is holding four cheerleaders hostage in an abandoned factory. David Dunn (Bruce Willis), a classic antihero with superhuman strength and mind-reading abilities who miraculously survived a train wreck in Unbreakable, tracks Kevin down to put an end to his reign of terror. When the authorities discover David and Kevin – as his superhuman personality The Beast – fighting, the two men are transported to a special psychiatric facility, where ultra-intelligent Mr Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), who originally caused the aforementioned train wreck, is also incarcerated. There, the three men are subjected to the therapy of Dr Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson), a psychiatrist who firmly believes that there’s no such thing as superhumans and preaches this gospel to her patients. But they know different, and they’re not happy about their existence constantly being denied. They need to escape. A collaboration might be on the cards… Also starring Anna Taylor-Joy and Spencer Treat Clark.
