On the eve of their 45th wedding anniversary, Katie and Geoff Mercer are planning the details of a party for said anniversary. Their relationship seems as strong as ever until Geoff recieves an ominous letter informing him of the death of his former german fiancee from back in the 1960s. Having sown the seeds of doubt and uncovered a whole secret life Geoff had lived without telling her, the revelation causes Katie to question the foundations of her entire marriage. By the time party arrives, will there even be a relationship to celebrate still.
