Losing a parent or family member is something that no child should have to suffer through, yet every day a child in England and Wales loses a family member through murder or manslaughter.
Channel 4’s, A Killing in my Family, is a new documentary exploring the lives of young children that have lost a family member to murder. Following the story of eight families whose lives changed overnight, the programme introduces us to Chloe, Lottie and Chelsea who were in bed when their father killed their mother, before killing himself.
As the girls come to terms with what happened, the show also highlights the extraordinary work from grief professionals from the charity Winston’s Wish, who are helping to rebuild them.
