Brand new drama series from the creators of ‘A Very English Scandal’, which told of the Thorpe Affair, is coming to BBC One.
We meet the most beautiful debutante of the 30s, Margaret Sweeney (Claire Foy) who, in the midst of a divorce, meets the dashing and married Ian Campbell, Duke of Argyll (Paul Bettany).
Margaret falls in love with the Duke and his ancestral seat of Inveraray, but after a good start, the Marriage sours and Margaret is distanced from him. This leads to a series of decisions that would change her life, and the perception of the British aristocracy forever.
