The students and teachers have been through seven distinctive eras of British history so far on their odyssey through the various schooling systems of the times. From Victorian to the inter-war years, the swinging 60s to technology-mad modern day; now they one last period to explore.
In this week’s eight and final episode of the Back in Time series, the teenagers are joined by presenter Sara Cox and social historian Polly Russell for a reunion party like none other – but not before visiting one last time period; tomorrow. The class are plunged into the classroom of the future and into the emerging world of technological and virtual wonders where they’ll have to get to grips with revolutionary concepts such as having their lessons led exclusively by Artificial Intelligence.
