You could be forgiven for drawing similarities with this programme and others of the same ilk – “nightmare tenants, slum landlords” and “nightmare neighbours next door” spring to mind – because realistically they do bare striking likenesses with each other. Channel 5’s latest incarnation of domestic drama, “Bad Tenants, Rogue Landlords”, returns after its debut last Thursday.
While the general premise of the show remains the same as the example mentioned previously – tenants or landlords refuse to behave like functional human beings for 45 minutes before a resolution is brokered right at the end of the show, meaning everyone can live happily ever after – “Bad Tenants, Rogue Landlords” puts far more of the spotlight on a tenants eviction agency, Landlord Action, and focuses on the legal proceedings rather than childish tantrums and the like. In this episode landlords fall foul of two young tenants who are using their rental property as a film set, meanwhile Eviction lawyer Chris receives a shock at an abandoned print works.
Bad Tenants, Rogue Landlords – Thursday 8:00pm on Channel 5.
