From the same US network behind The Handmaid’s Tale comes another TV adaptation of a novel, but rather than a dystopian nightmare, we deal with police corruption and psychology.
Chance is an adaptation of a novel by Kem Nunn. The series also has British talent, as Hugh Laurie plays the title character, San Franciscan psychiatrist Eldon Chance. He is currently treating a patient named Jaclyn Blackstone (Gretchen Mol), but soon gets too involved with her problems.
Chance thus discovers that Blackstone is involved with an abusive partner and police corruption, while Chance has his own messy divorce to deal with.
Chance is on Universal, beginning with double-bill at 21.00.
