Rocky Balboa dons his iconic gloves once again as he transitions into the role of mentor to Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed – a promising young boxer who, incidentally, is the son of one of his greatest rivals, Apollo Creed. Sylvester Stallone returns to his role as an older Rocky Balboa while real-life boxing icons such as Tony Bellew and Gabriel Rosado round off a star-studded cast.
Knowing nothing of his late father’s legacy but feeling compelled to get into the ring and climb the ranks in the world of boxing, Adonis “Donnie” Creed enlists the world-famous Rocky Balboa as his mentor. Over the course of their training together, Rocky is forced to confront his own mortality while Donnie begins making waves on the world stage – eventually being recognised and challenged by the light-heavyweight champion himself, “Pretty” Ricky Conlan.
