We move into the second ODI with the wind rather annoyingly taken out of England’s sails.
The first match at the Oval only managed to feature 19 overs of play, with Pakistan being put into bat in a match that had already been reduced to 47 overs. In the end Pakistan reached 80-2 with Jofar Archer striking again, as well as Liam Plunkett, before the rain (and even hail) returned and match ended with no further play. Meanwhile, Imam ul-Haq managed to get 42 not out for the visiting team.
Hopefully we will be able to see more action in this second game in Southampton.
