After the first match was washed out, the second game between England and Pakistan more than made up for the earlier disappointment.
Both sides were on top form, but in the end it was England who came out on top, partly due to Jos Buttler getting a century in 50 balls, finishing up on 110 not out. However, the highest scoring batsman was actually Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman, who finished on 138. Despite this Pakistan still lost by 12 runs.
As we enter this new day-night game at Bristol, selection is still important as the World Cup approaches. Jofar Archer didn’t play in the last game. Meanwhile James Anderson picked up an injury playing for Lancashire.
England v Pakistan is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Cricket at 12.30 (play starts 13.00).
