Preview – Cricket: Sri Lanka v England, 3rd Test

Joe Root

The last test of the series, and indeed England’s men’s team’s final game of the calendar year, will see them trying to achieve a whitewash against Sri Lanka.

They have already won the first two of the three tests, partly due to a brilliant century from Joe Root in the second test. The last game also featured the most wickets taken by spinners, with 38 of the 40 wickets taken by them. Can England make a clean sweep in Colombo?

If you want something to warm-up to, the Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals are also on tonight, with defending champions West Indies against the Aussies (20.00), while England take on India (midnight).

The Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals begin on Sky Main Event and Sky Cricket at 19.30.

Sri Lanka v England is on Sky Main Event and Sky Cricket at 04.00 on Friday morning.
