Today at Lord’s the England women’s cricket are attempting to win their third World Cup in their history (in comparison to the men who have never won their equivalent).
The final is against India, who beat England in their first match of the tournament, bowling England all out to win by 35 runs. However, if the Champions Trophy with the men is anything to go by, things may swap round. There the Indian men’s team previously beat Pakistan in the group stage, only for Pakistan to thrash India in the final.
The final should be worth a watch, just to see all-rounder Nat Sciver hopefully performing her now famous nutmeg/Natmeg stroke, batting the ball between her legs.
The Women’s World Cup Final is on Sky Cricket and Sky Mix at 10.00am.
