This may be just a pilot, but the BBC have already been impressed enough by this comedy drama to give it a full series.
Adapted from the book by Alex McBride, the series follows an idealistic pupil barrister, Will Packham (played by Flowers writer and co-star Will Sharpe). While he wants to get full job, his believe in serving justice seems to get in the way of his boss Caroline (Katherine Parkinson) who just believes their job is to win the case, regardless of the fact that the people he is defending are clearly guilty. With other people after the same job, can he succeed without compromising his ideals?
Defending the Guilty is on BBC Two at 22.00.
