Based on the hit American comedy show, the British version of Drunk History is back for a third series.
For those unfamiliar with the format, a famous person, normally a comedian, deliberately gets drunk and then recites an event from history. This is then acted out by a group of actors who lip-sync to the drunk’s dialogue when needed. Jimmy Carr provides extra narration to keep everything in order.
In the first episode, stand-up and former I’m a Celeb… star Joel Dommett attempts to tell the story of the Dambusters, acted out by Chris O’Dowd and Alexander Armstrong; while the stars of Impractical Jokers talk about the assassination of US President James Garfield, performed by Joe Thomas, Brett Goldstein and Joe Wilkinson.
Drunk History is on Comedy Central at 22.00.
