Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are the helpless pair of imbecilic best friends, Lloyd and Harry, in this 1995 comedy. Directed by Peter Farrelly and written by his brother, Bobby, the film has gone down in pop-culture as a childhood classic for many a millennial and launched the two brother’s careers.
Lloyd and Harry are two dim-witted childhood friends living in Providence, Rhode Island. While working as an upmarket taxi-driver, Lloyd meets a woman named Mary whom he quickly falls for and after she leaves one of her briefcases behind as she boards a flight to Aspen, the foolhardy valet – with his equally moronic best friend, Harry, in tow – sets off on a mission to return it. On the road, unaware of the pair of criminal debt collectors that are stalking them, the dim-witted duo carve a path of chaos in their odyssey across North America.
