The chapel of Kings College Cambridge: a place iconic not only for its awe-inspiring architectural beauty but also as the home for the world-renowned Kings College choir. Founded in 1444 at the behest of King Henry VI, the institution is steeped in heritage, rising to prominence in the modern era for their annual Christmas carol service broadcast live from the Chapel itself.
With the legendary choir performing live services for major Christian celebrations as well as other events, they return to national television this Easter weekend for a celebration of the best and most best-loved seasonal music under musical director Stephen Cleobury. BBC2 presents music and readings live from the Chapel of King’s College, Cambridge. For lovers of classical music or anybody interested in the religious celebration, this live broadcast is a must see.
