When Eden began in July 2016, it was aimed to be a high-profile reality TV show in which a group of random people tried to build up their own community on a remote Scottish island, cut off from the rest of the world.
However, the first series only lasted four episodes, without the cast being told about this. Meaning that they have been thinking that they have been stars of a massive show for about a year, when in fact we are only about to learn what happened to them now, with a series being broadcast the whole week.
Judging by the blurbs of each of the episodes, it does sound like the entire experiment goes a bit Lord of the Flies.
Eden: Paradise Lost is on every weekday this week at 22.00 on Channel 4.
