Originally shown just in the West Midlands, this Our Lives programme looks at the problems in moving large animals.
Four Asian elephants from Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire – Minbu, Tara, Noorjahan and Esha – are being sent to Blackpool as part of a breeding programme, but it is far from easy. The elephants have to be kept entertained on the trip, and they have to make sure they get used to their new home quick – which involves the movement of substances you don’t want to touch with your bare hands.
Elephants on the move is on at 19.30 on BBC One (not available in Wales).
