Gareth Southgate continues to blood young talent and come next summer this team’s evolution could be complete. With the likes of Mason Mount, Trent Alexander Arnold, Jadon Sancho, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham bringing a youthful exuberance to the squad, England look a match for anyone going forward. However, there is still some uncertainty over who is number one between the sticks and who partners Harry Maguire at centre half. Recent brain farts at the back haven’t reassured fans that Michael Keane or John Stones are the answer.
