Preview – FA Cup Final 2017/18

FA Cup final

We’ve seen thrills and spills as the premier league has drawn to a close with Chelsea missing out on one of the coveted top four spots after losing to Newcastle last weekend. Antonio Conte’s men will be hoping to set the record straight and salvage something from the season while, on the opposite half of the pitch, Jose Mourinho’s red devils will be baying for blood to end their season on a high.

Chelsea – who have had something of an off-season so far – have the opportunity on Saturday to not only avenge their defeat in the FA Cup final last year to rivals Arsenal, but also have the chance to pull one over on their ex-manager Mourinho and his current club while also sending Antonio Conte off in style, with the Italian looking likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer. For Manchester United, however, following a controversial season in the premier which bizarrely saw them finish runners-up to their city rivals and yet still get criticised, will want to take the game by scruff of the neck to further add to their brimming trophy cabinet. Whatever the outcome, the game is expected to be a fantastic tactical battle between two-sides at the top of their games. As always, Gary Lineker and his cohort of pundits will be on hand for all the analysis, build up and post-match content.
