Channel 4’s Stand Up 2 Cancer initiative sees a whole host of famous faces enter the world of dating this week as they look to raise money for life-saving Cancer research.
Frank Sirieix and his team play cupid with the big-timers this week as they roll out the red-carpet for Stand Up 2 Cancer. The first famous face to dive into the First Dates restaurant is socialite and star of ITV’s 2015 series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Lady Colin Campbell, who is adamant that she wants a “man not a mouse”. Will debonair artist and fellow-socialite Matthew be up to her high standards?
Next up, Joey Essex arrives on the scene looking to shed his “player” persona and settle down. But how will he cope without his reputation and fame when he realises his date, Bolton girl Lydia, doesn’t have a clue who he is?
Finally, TV presenter Melinda Messenger and Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin get in on the act as they meet their respective dates, barista Chris and larger-than-life Bristolian John. Will Melinda get over the fact that Chris may have photographed her during her days as a cover-girl? And will this date have a happy ending for Sandra?
