Today the Premier League makes history, by starting on a Friday rather than a Saturday.
The first match is between Arsenal and Leicester City at the Emirates. During last season much of the talk was about whether or not Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger should be sacked. He still hasn’t gone, but what has arrived is new striker Alexandre Lacazette who cost the Gunners £46,500,000, the highest the club has ever played for a player.
Leicester will of course be hoping for another miracle and win the Premier League again like they did in in 2016. As they proved back then, anything can happen in football.
Arsenal v Leicester City is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League at 19.00 (kick-off at 19.45).
