Preview – Football: Champions League

Champions League

This week sees the teams in the Champions League taking part in their fifth matches.

Two of the teams taking part tonight have no need to worry as they have already qualified to the group stage: namely Tottenham who are away to Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester City who are home to Feyenoord. Liverpool meanwhile should be able to secure their place too if they beat Sevilla tonight.

Tomorrow, Manchester United will also have their chance to secure their place by defeating CSKA Moscow. Chelsea’s position in their table is much closer so they need to win against Qarabag. Celtic can’t progress to the next round, but can still go into the Europa League, so will be looking for points against Paris Saint-Germain.
