Preview – Football: FA Cup Quarter-Finals

FA Cup

The sixth round of the FA Cup takes place this weekend, with three games today and one tomorrow.

First up is a London derby as Watford host Crystal Palace. Both sides have faced a wide mixture of teams, from fellow Premier League sides to squads in the fourth-tier and below. In terms of recent form, they are similar too, but in the league table Watford are currently in the top half and Palace in the bottom. This evening one of two Championship sides left in the contest, Swansea, have to pray for a giant killing as they face Man City, who are almost certainly favourites for the cup.

City’s red rivals, Man United, are also away this evening, facing fellow Premier League side Wolves. The two teams are only two places away in the league and given that Man United lost their last league game, there is hope for Wolves yet. Tomorrow, the last Championship side, Millwall, host Brighton, with both teams struggling in their respective leagues.

Watford v Crystal Palace is on BT Sport 2 at 11.45 (kick-off 12.15).

Swansea City v Manchester City is on BT Sport 2 at 17.00 (kick-off 17.20).

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester United is on BBC One at 19.30 (kick-off 19.55).

Millwall v Brighton & Hove Albion is on BBC One tomorrow at 13.40 (kick-off 14.00).
