Preview – Football: Manchester City v Liverpool

Manchester City v Liverpool

It feels strange to talk about a “top of the table clash” when the Premier League is only three games in, but technically speaking it is.

Going into the game Manchester City are second in the table, two points behind their arch-rivals Manchester United; while Liverpool are fourth and are behind on just goal difference. The fact that the clubs are such big names will attract a lot of attention anyway, but it still seems too early to draw anything meaningful from the match.

Man U are also on the telly tonight, kicking-off this evening away to Stoke, while in the Championship Sheffield Wednesday will take on Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City v Liverpool is on Sky Main Event and Sky Premier League at 11.30 (kick-off 12.30).

Stoke City v Manchester United is on BT Sport 1 at 17.00 (kick-off 17.30).

Sheffield Wednesday v Nottingham Forest is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Football at 17.15 (kick-off 17.30).
