Tonight’s episode marks the long-running gardening show’s 50th anniversary – which is a bit odd as it began in January 1968.
However, the show which has its range of presenters including Percy Thrower, Alan Titchmarsh and currently Monty Don is still going strong. This special comes from a Gardeners’ World Live event in Birmingham, and features Don, Carol Klein, Hoe Swift and Adam Frost admiring specially designed gardens and talking to celebrity guests.
Among the highlights tonight include Mary Berry revealing the plant which has made the biggest impact on British gardens over the past half-century.
Gardeners’ World is on BBC Two at 20.00.
