For example, today sees that start of the US Open in the world of golf. Taking place in Shinnecock Hills on New York’s Long Island, last year’s championship was won by Brooks Koepka, who equalled the lowest score ever achieved in the tournament, set by Rory McIlroy in 2011. Both of them will be taking part alongside former champions Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Jordan Speith.
