With 76,000 members of staff, 200,000 passengers a day and thousands of planes hoping to leave on time, Heathrow is Europe’s biggest and busiest airport.
This three-part documentary – filmed over the course of five months – follows staff working to keep the airport running and passengers safe and well.
Tonight’s episode ‘Arrivals’ takes us behind the scenes of the processing staff who are responsible for checking in the 100,000 passengers that arrive at the airport every day and we meet Passenger Experience Manager Sue, who has the difficult job of explaining to a passenger from Doha, that their connection flight to Dublin is actually leaving from Gatwick.
Meanwhile, as engineering apprentice Matt heads out onto the runway to calibrate the arrival lights, he gets closer to a 747 than he ever thought possible.
