The science series follows Richard Gray, a former UN peacekeeper who suffered a near-fatal brain haemorrhage.

In order to survive, he had an operation that removed the entire left-hand side of his skull. He is almost vegetative, but he still lives. This programme follows Gray’s road to recovery, featuring interviews with his family and medical professionals.
