This week we are at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital looking at the problems with transplant operations.
One the day of recording, three kidney operations are scheduled, but the hospital only has one emergency theatre that is shared between ten different departments. As a result, other emergency procedures may take priority over the course of the day.
