Adieu, adieu! remember me. So departs noble Claudio, a prince of Leicester but 10 months ago – alas his fortunes faltered and on return to English shores from glorious European campaigns was met with daggers and betrayed loyalty from those who had loved him.

Managerless and directionless, this team is unrecognisable from the disruptive force that bemused and delighted all in 2015/16. Since then they have definitely misplaced their mojo and now, with Ranieri gone, there are no more excuses.
Liverpool are tonight’s visitors and gave the Foxes a 4-1 tonking at Anfield in August. For Claudio’s memory, it would be nice to see a repeat – if only to emphasise to the club’s impatient owners that with success you have to accept the knocks.
