Andy Murray

The biggest clay court tennis tournament returns, and this time around a British tennis player is the world number one.

However, Andy Murray is not in the best of form, and in the last Grand Slam, the Australian Open, Murray lost in the fourth round. At the Rome Masters, Murray dropped out of the second round.

Murray’s first match will be against Russian Andrey Kuznetsov; while current champion Novak Djokovic will play Spain’s Marcel Granollers; and Rafael Nadal play’s Frenchman Benoit Paire. Britain’s leading woman, Johanna Konta, faces Hsieh Su-wei representing Chinese Taipei.

French Open begins on ITV4 and Eurosport 1 at 09.30.
