That most high-profile of annual marathon races takes to the streets of the capital this morning.

For the elite racers, the most high-profile for us Brits is once again Mo Farah, who once again is trying to win the race for the first time. Last year Farah came third, finishing two minutes behind the winner Eliud Kipchoge.

The other Brit to watch out for is David Weir, who is defending his title in the men’s wheelchair race. Plus there are all the charity runners and celebrities that will be raising money for hundreds of charities across the country.

London Marathon is on BBC Two at 08.30, then BBC One at 10.00. Highlights are on BBC Two at 18.00.
