The League of Gentlemen star looks at the life of John Minton, an artist well known in his life-time, but now largely forgotten.
Minton found fame as an illustrator, but he wanted to be known as an artist. This, along with being gay at a time it was a criminal offense also made things worse for him. Eventually taking his own life aged 39. Gatiss follows Minton’s life, travelling to Corsica, the subject of one the books he illustrated.
