Having taking its usual summer break (i.e., most of the comedians were performing at the Edinburgh Fringe and were thus unavailable), the BBC Two satirical panel game returns.
Mock the Week has always been a show that has had its fair share of critics. Strangely though, many of those critics are other comedians, complaining about the way the show is run, or the lack of variety in guests. This is evidenced by the fact this programme, that has run since 2005, had to wait until June 2017 to have an episode that had more than one woman on it.
Sadly there is only one woman on again, as Angela Barnes is a guest alongside Ed Byrne, Ed Gamble, Milton Jones and Nish Kumar, joining regulars Hugh Dennis and host Dara O Briain. You do wonder about whether anything involving Irish people trying to capture a bat might be on tonight.
Mock the Week is on BBC Two at 22.00.
