This was the surprise highlight of last summer as the brilliant academic double act of Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull fronted this excellent travelogue / exploration of the scientific heritage of the British Isles.
Proving that their five minutes of social media fame (following appearances on University Challenge) was no flash in the pan, the pair set off on a quest to shine light on the UK’s rich scientific history.
Their journey this week is a ‘genius guide’ to Wales. They begin by sailing across the highest navigable aqueduct in the world.
I’d box set this series, it would be a great shame if the BBC don’t commission more from Monkman and Seagull. They must return!
Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Guide To Britain – Friday 7.00pm on BBC2.
