Preview – Monty Don’s Paradise Gardens

Monty Don

In the second and final part of his journey through the paradise gardens, Monty heads to Turkey where he is dazzled by an extraordinary display of the Ottoman Empire’s favourite flower – the tulip.

Travelling further east to India, Monty encounters a new type of spirituality in the tomb gardens of the Mughal Empire and in Agra he visits the most famous tomb of them all, the Taj Mahal.

His final stop is Jaipur, where he rides an elephant up to a spectacular Hindi fort and visits a Mughal pleasure garden before returning to the UK and exploring the ways the paradise gardens have inspired British landscaping.
