This Natural World documentary narrated by Miles Jupp looks at the problems that can be caused in nature by being big.

Among the creatures featured are giraffes, that need to have huge blood pressure in order for the blood to reach their heads; Komodo dragons that need to kill prey that weigh ten times as much as them; and the giant red leech of Kinabalu, as long as a man’s thigh, which eats the even bigger Bornean blue earth worm, by crushing it with its mouth in one go.

Nature’s Biggest Beasts is on BBC Two at 20.00.
