The sudden announcement of this live concert in honour the victims of the Manchester terrorist attack has been so sudden that most print TV guides will have missed it.
BBC One will be televising the entire concert being held at Old Trafford cricket ground – a concert with even more significance following last night’s attacks in London. Ariana Grande, whose concert at the Manchester Arena was the one that the heart of the attack, is headlining the show.
Not all the performers have been confirmed. We do know that Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Take That, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus, Usher and Pharrell are on the bill. Some rumours have suggested that Oasis may be performing as well, but we can’t say for certain.
