From darlings of the tabloid press to public enemy number one, the Sussexes decision to step back from Royal duties has not gone down well with middle England. We’ve heard from the TV and radio personalities and the newspaper columnists about Meghan rubbing up staff the wrong way, which led to allegations of bullying – counter allegations – interventions from the Palace and stinging repsonse from the H&M camp that this was “a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful information.” The ante has been raised to such a level that any hope that this story would just die down or that there was a pathway back to reconciliation now seems impossible.
So the stage is set for tonight, Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.
Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
