The premier league title race shows no sign of slowing so far and this week the pressure is on for frontrunners Liverpool and Manchester City after disappointing showing against Leicester City and Newcastle respectively in the midweek fixtures.
Still high on their midweek heroics against title-contenders Manchester City, Newcastle kick the weekend off with an early visit to Wembley to face a Tottenham side without the talismanic Harry Kane.
In Saturday’s 3 o’clock fixtures we see Everton and Wolves do battle for seventh place at Goodison Park while elsewhere Chelsea host relegation-fighters Huddersfield. Fellow relegation strugglers Burnley and Southampton meet at Turf Moor while Fulham will hope to turn their season around against an impressive Crystal Palace team. Finally, Brighton host Watford in the last of this afternoon’s fixtures before Bournemouth make the journey to the Welsh capital as they take on Cardiff city in the late kick-off.
On Sunday, both Manchester sides are in action with Manchester United facing a stern test in the form of giant-killers Leicester City while Arsenal look to avenge their two consecutive defeats at the hands of Manchester City earlier in the season with a trip to the Etihad.
Finally rounding off the weekend’s fixtures, league-leaders Liverpool face a potential banana skin in the form of a visit to the London Stadium to face off against West Ham.
