I wonder if people in the media are interested in a drama in the media? The answer is obviously yes – we’re very self-absorbed.
Arguably Press is two dramas in one show, as it follows the staff at two different newspapers: red-top tabloid The Post (i.e. The Sun), and left-leaning broadsheet The Herald (i.e. The Guardian). Both are covering the same story: a woman killed in an apparent hit-and-run with a police car, but there is the issue of footage that The Post have, which they are reluctant to share with their rival.
Press is on BBC One at 21.00.
