You cannot go wrong with a bit of David Attenborough, so it is always worth watching anything he’s involved with.
In this one-off Natural World documentary narrated by Sir David, he looks at the wildlife of the island of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, and in particular three different conservation projects. Much of the wildlife on the island is under threat from destruction of rainforests and human encroachment.
Here we witness the efforts of people to save manatees, of which there only 700 left in the wild; parrots, which are beginning to increase in number after reaching a low of 13; and oceanic turtle, of which there are five whole species native to Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico: Island of Enchantment is on BBC Two at 21.00.
