Having past the half-way point in the series, we meet some familiar faces in this heat. Or at least we would if the robots had faces.
Flipper Iron-Awe 6 and drum spinner Concussion are among those returning, but probably the most bizarre of the returning competitors is Nuts 2, armed with flails and a team of West Country roboteers in fake-fur waistcoats.
Of the first-timers, one to look out for is clusterbot The Kegs – a robot made out of an old beer keg, captained by the former executive director of Greenpeace.
