This month marks the 25th anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence, a murder which revealed the scale of institutionalised racism in the Metropolitan Police.

The BBC is broadcasting a three-part documentary series this week looking into the history of the case, begin with the events leading up to the murder, with later episodes looking at the fallout and the eventual prosecutions against the murderers and police.

Trailers for the programme show that among the people interviewed in the programme include family members, and politicians such as Theresa May and Jack Straw.

Stephen: The Murder That Changed a Nation is on BBC One tonight, tomorrow and Thursday at 21.00.
