A brand new ITV drama detailing the ongoing struggle by Doreen (Sharlene Whyte) and Neville Lawrence (Hugh Quarshie) to achieve justice in the murder of their son, Stephen.

A historical sequel to 1999’s groundbreaking drama, The Murder of Stephen Lawrence, this three-part series portrays events from 2006, thirteen years after the murder and six after the original inquiry.

Despite the inquiry having shown the Metropolitan Police’s failures to the world and branded it as ‘institutionally racist’, no progress followed toward any justice – even though Doreen and Neville knew the identities of their son’s killers.

The Lawrences bring in DCI Clive Driscoll (Coogan) to head the investigations that finally lead to the killers’ conviction. He quickly learns, however, that the best authority on the facts of the case is Stephen’s mother, Doreen, who was made a life peer for her successful fight for justice in 2013.
